Westland Sikorsky S-51 Dragonfly Helicopter

The Sikorsky S-51, designed in the 1940s by Sikorsky Aircraft, was later produced in the UK under license. Used by the Royal Navy and RAF, it served in search and rescue, transport, and liaison roles, as well as evacuating wounded soldiers during the Korean War.

This project was modeled and animated in Maya, textured in Substance Painter and Sampler, and rendered with Arnold. The renders were retouched in Photoshop, and the videos were edited in Premiere. The process was a lot of fun, done with passion and enthusiasm. Completed in January 2025.
